Far Cry 5: How to Make Money Fast

There are some basic tricks and perks in Far Cry 5 that will help players earn money fast and will maximize their time out in the wilderness of Hope County.

For Far Cry 5 , Ubisoft is switching up its formula in some pretty significant ways. One of the more interesting things Ubisoft has done is make animal skins and other fauna a form of currency that players can trade for money in the game. Gone are the days of holding onto (or hunting) animal skins for crafting; now skins are the best source of money.

Considering the value of animal skins, players will want to focus on perks and approaches that help them acquire as many as possible in Far Cry 5. Luckily, there are some easy methods to get a lot of animal skins and make money fast.

1. The Bow is a Hunter's Best Friend

Far Cry 5 once again brings back the bow and it is essential for animal hunting. As in past games, killing an animal with a bow preserves its hide and value. In the case of Ubisoft's latest game, using a bow to kill an animal will grant the player 2 skins whereas using a gun will only grant 1. Note that using something more devastating will only deliver a damaged skin, which has almost no value.

Since a player's inventory is somewhat limited early on, we recommend taking a bow when exploring and then swapping it out when doing more involved missions. Animals can appear almost anywhere, so it's best to have the bow available whenever possible. That being said, getting only 1 skin is not a bad way to make a little money, but 2 skins are far better.

2. Harvest Master is Key

Once Far Cry 5 players have a better understanding of how to maximize animal skins, they will want to focus on getting the perk called Harvest Master. This perk will grant players double skins from animals and double the harvest from plants.

This perk combined with using the bow will help players get 4 animal skins for every hunt, which is a huge value depending on the animal. Once players get deep into the game and start encountering bears, moose, and caribou, the value on 4 skins will be much higher than on the lower tier animals.

As with most open world games, completing missions is going to be a great source of money along with the prepper stashes, but those are limited. If players find themselves strapped for cash and want to purchase a cool new weapon or a slick new vehicle, we highly recommend the combination of Harvest Master and the bow.
